My home sleeps 19 people. It is like hearding cats to get a group together and book. I usually book early in the season due to this(Nov.-Feb.). I do not feel comfortable in booking with Airbnb during my prime season due to their cancellation policy. My normal policy is I take a 50% deposit which is non refundable if I am unable to re book when they cancel. Most of the time I have been able to rebook.
Airbnb will not let me have this kind of a cancellation policy unless I have 6 or more properties or I have a property management booking for me? I do not want a property management person doing my bookings, nor do I need one. I also don't like the fact that wnow I have to pay them as well. I think larger homes should be able to have a better cancellation policy.
Has anyone else had this issue. What did you do?
