Canceling reservation because of changed circumstances

Hi I have two bookings coming up on Saturday then Tuesday next week and I need to cancel due to unforseen circumstances. Will this affect my rating? What is the best way to go about this?

Depends on the reason for cancellation - contact AirBnB straight away and explain what's happening and why. They may also look for alternatives for your guests. Don't cancel any bookings until told to do so by AirBnB
