Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

What is the best cancellation policy to have for your listing?  I was considering Strict Non-refundable.

@Michelle2809  There is no one size fits all. It depends on many factors. Location, average number of guests you can accommodate, average length of booking, the reasons guests book with you, how likely you would be to be able to rebook dates and how far in advance, whether you are looking to make as much money as possible, or whether it's a side income and you aren't that fussed about having high occupancy.

I wouldn't advise using non-refundable options, because they aren't in any way secure as such. Airbnb has fully refunded guests who booked under the non-refundable.

And the majority of guests will be upset and angry when they don't get a full refund, regardless of the cancellation policy they agreed to. Almost everyone thinks they have a really valid reason for cancelling and that they should get all their money back.
