Cancellation received from guest, guest appears to have been charged but period is still blocked

Hi All,

 

I have a guest who confirmed for three days for $163AUD, she then needed to cancel the last two. I notice in my reservations page a transaction for her acceptance for $163, then a new "Cancelled" transaction for her totalling $121. I'm confused about this because the period she booked is still blocked out in my calender. Does anyone know how this works? I don't see any way to accept the cancellation or refund her at all?

The easiest think to do would have been to go to the reservation and click on Change or Cancel and then just change the dates of the reservation - the guest then accepts the new dates and no one gets penalised.

 

It's not clear to me if you cancelled the original reservation or she did and then re-made the reservation. If you cancelled it then the dates will be blocked in your diary as unavailable to others.
