Cancellation vouchers or credit notes

@Airbnb  Rather than full cancelations refunds please consider the ability to issue guests credit notes that can use for future bookings.

We have a strict policy, we have this in place to offer some protection as this is our only income source. We and most of our guests understand that this is a terrible time for all involved. We have started promising guests cancelling out with your extenuating circumstances policy that we will guarantee them a discount (covering the cancelation fee) for any future booking. The majority have been very understanding, but it’s not an official process or backed by you, so they are putting their faith in us delivering (which we will).

We urgently need you to implement something that helps to address the survival of hosts (cash flow) & the peace of mind of guests.

We are offering customers the option to use their deposit for a later booking. We are not an insurance company and it appears AirBnB are putting hosts in a difficult financial position. We have claimed for our own holiday on insurance and I expect customers to use their own insurers rather than compromise our finances. AirBnB risks losing many loyal hosts who will start marketing directly or use other agencies who are more sympathetic to hosts.
