Cancellation

Hi Airbnb community,

 

I was just wanting advice. I have a booking for 2 weeks from mid Feb to end March. They have come back to me and asked if they can extend their booking by a week. I would love this. The only thing i accepted a 2 night booking on the last weekend of March when I thought my long term booking was going to leave. 

 

I would prefer to extend my long term booking as it's beneficial financially to have the guests stay for another week.

 

However if i cancel the booking of the 2 nightsI will loose my super host status. It is a month away so they'll have ample time to re book so it's not like I am only giving a week notice.

I will also have a cancellation review on my listing. 

 

Any suggestions.

Hello @Louisa42. It is a part of this business - making choices. It's fair to honour the one who booked first. You may try to talk to that guest whose booking is in your way, but that's all. Usually people choose particular dates for a reason. You might offer them another stay - you may try. Nothing else would be fair in this case.
