Cancellation

Please can someone help. I have a nine night reservation cancelled by my guest at the very last minute due to illness. My guest has advised that they can claim a refund via their travel insurance and is happy with this outcome. I would like to free up the dates but am not sure how to do this.

What bad luck!

 

If the guest has cancelled the reservation, you don't have to do anything as the dates should be automatically freed up.

 

(It's very different if the host cancels of course...)

Hi David,

 

You need to get the guest to cancel the reservation through Airbnb - don't you do it because you won't get the dates back and it will penalise you. 

 

Go to your Host Bookings, send the guest a message and ask them to 'cancel reservation'. It's all pretty straight forward. The dates should release pretty quickly and you'll be able to re-open for new bookings.
