Our property can accommodate up to 11 people. With all other booking portals we are able to charge guests on a per person, per week (or part thereof) basis, as this seems the fairest way. It would be unfair to include the costs in the advertised rental fee - when the number of guests will be unknown anyway prior to booking. There seems no way to do this on Airbnb, however.
You can add a daily per guest charge to your pricing.
Tell me how you do this!!! Thanks.
You can also charge a "linens fee." It is under pricing then edit standard fees and charges. This is a one time flat fee that will be added to every reservation.
Thanks for the suggestion! I guess for this to work though. the standard fee would have to change for each booking, since this is a per-person charge on a per week (or less) basis. The costs to us of bed linen and towels for a party of 10 for 2 weeks would be quite different fo that of two people for three days....
Thanks for the tip! The trouble is - what do I set the one time flat fee to be? It could be the cost (to us) of providing one set of bed linen and towels for one guest for one week, or it could be for providing one set of bed linen for 11 people for three weeks. Those would be widely different costs, which is why we've been trying to find a per-person, per week (or part thereof) solution to our problem. It can't be that difficult for the airbnb computer to take the number of guests in the party, multiply it by the number of weeks (or part of a week) that they've booked, and multiply the result by the costs (to us) of providing bed linen and towels for each person. We can do this on other holiday letting websites!
