Christmas in New York.

Hi everyone.

I'm new to the Airbnb world and was hoping to find a place to crash and see if me and my partner can squeeze in of someones Christmas Celebrations (willing to provide presents in exchange). We are very intriqued Australians. 

Also keen for a bit of a party too. Is anyone aware of any forums, blogs or willing to provide some advise of where/how you can meet people before you travel?

If you want to stay with someone at Christmas time, you need to find a property and request to book.  If you want to stay for free, you cannot use the Airbnb platform to do this - Airbnb has a minimum payment for reservations.  If you want a free service, you might check out Couchsurfing.  

As for meeting people, check out MeetUp.com.  You can join a group meeting up near your vacation home.
