Cleaning and other fees?

Is it fair and reasonable to charge cleaning and other fees ?

It is up to you, @Paul1809. As a host, you are allowed to charge a cleaning fee. Anyone who finds your fee to be unfair or unreasonable can choose another listing to book.

Will you be hosting, or are you asking as a guest?

@Paul1809 of course it is fair if you think that it is necessary for your listing. Some hosts like myself include it it the total price and others add it as a separate fee but it should always be calculated into the price. Even if you clean yourself, your time is worth money. You should check out the competition, for example in my city nobody charges for cleaning fees separately so if I charge that would be off-putting even though the total price would be the same. Also about other fees, it depends what do you feel you need to charge extra for, but if you think it couldn't be done free of charge you should add a fee.

Ah.. not again...! I wonder if there would be so many posts and complains if this fee is called "longer stay discount" or "short term fee" or "turnover fee" . Because that's exactly what it is. Every turnover is much more than just cleaning.
