I have guests that just wanted to book my place, my rate is $100 per night plus a fixed cleaning fee of $50.
They tried booking my house for 1 night and the price shown was $196..then they logged in from a different account and price shown was $180..Now they are trying to reach out to me directly to make sure what the real rate is, and hoping to pay to me directly.
Smart pricing is and has always been off on my account.
Please let me know what's the deal, what is going on before I, and AirBnB keep loosing people.
Thank you.
@Jonatan0 What dates are the guests interested in? Did they use the same dates for both accounts? When I look at your calendar, you have 3 dates in January with a $206 rate while the other days are $103. Depending on the dates chosen, Air BNB will provide an average of the rates charged Make sense?
If that is not what is happening and you are fairly sure there is a glitch in the system, here is a guide for contacting Air BNB.

Good luck
Thank you Linda, they both are part of the same party and wanted to stay at my house tonight. They tried both account because could not beleave it was so expensive..
Contacting AirBnB used to be easier, I will follow up you link and see if is there a person willing to answer.
Best wishes, thanks again.
Joni
Sounds more likely that they are trying to bypass the ABB system to save the booking fee.
That was my guess that they were trying to scam you into a reduction
Could also be that one account has a coupon and the other doesn’t.
Either way, why does it matter? They should have just booked the lower one.
Resist any urge to accept the money directly. You will not be protected at all if you deal directly with guests who offer this.
hope it works out.
@Jonatan0 it is a well known scam, they send you a link to different web site which looks like Airbnb but it is not. It prompts you to log in again, if you do then they have your password.
If you loged in to this fake website you should go to real Airbnb web site (it has green padlock in address bar ) , change your password and look if someone loged in to your account from a different IP address than yours. Check if your bank account, phone etc... is correct.
To gain more control of who is login to your account you can set to receive sms or email notifications every time someone from different pc log in and every time someone change your description , photos or anything else.
Never ever login without making sure there is a green padlock in url address of the website !
Thank you but I do not know what this has to do with anything. Both people were using their phone app when trying to book and my brother was just there with them and witnessing how different rates were shown. In the end they booked through another platform. AirBnB may check themselves and see what happened just looking at mine and their account's activity.
Best regards.
