December is so slow on bookings! Is that usual?

We've been booked 28 days out of 30 every month since we've started, and suddenly December happened and it's terrible! I only have one more booking this month. And then January looks like it's back to business as usual. Is this normal? I would have thought we'd see a lot of travelers for the season? Just curious what everyone else sees at this time of year...

Is It the same with payments? Been experiencing slow payments and missing payouts.

Yes, December and January are usually slow unless you are in a town or have a listing where families can all gather. The exception will likely be ski towns, etc. Most people tend to go visit family or friends and stay with the during the holidays and since most people travel at the end of December they tend not to go away the rest of the month.
