If this guest want to leave earlier, he has to cancel the reservation. The refund (if any) will be calculated according the cancellation policy. If the guest want more refund, he has to contact Airbnb.
Do NOT press any refund options until you have spoken directly on the phone with the air bnb resolution centre.
Tell air bnb you do not want to refund the money unless it is in accordance with your cancellation and that you want air bnb to contact the departed guest on your behalf to say this.
Tell Air bnb you will let them sort out this situation for you and to phone you back later that day with progress of the resolution.
If you have a strict cancellation policy either stick with it or say you accept 50% refund.
