Difficulty getting professional photos in Perth West Australia

Hi, Is anyone else in Perth having trouble getting some verified professional photos done via airbnb? I requested some months back but just keep getting told that no-one is available. My own ones are ok but I don't think they are doing business any favours when you compare them to professional watermarked ones.

Hi Annie I'm in Melbourne, but unless someone from Airbnb sees this and tells me otherwise it's my understanding this offer is for U.S. residents only. Like you, I thought the same about my photos so I followed the process within the Airbnb software and came to a dead end 😞 For what it's worth, our mobiles these days can take great photos. Walk into some display homes or get some home magazines to inspire you or to give you a few ideas...and light the place up like a Christmas tree when you take the photos 🙂 Best of luck Shayne

No it's not limited to US, we have them her in the UK as well as a number of other countries. Although it is subject to availability because Airbnb do not employ photographers, they use freelance photographers so availability is not guaranteed.

You could get some done professionally if you feel they would have a positive impact but you would need to pay for them yourself.

Just a thought...there have been some comments that the professional photos give an 'over the top' view of your home, and therefore guests can be a bit disappointed when they arrive. I wouldn't say it's a real problem - but it's like what estate agents do...make everything look amazing.

We use good photos from our phones - and play around with lighting a bit - taking them at different times of the day. It's better to have people say, it looks better in real life than in the photos.
