Hi All!
Probbaly being really dense but want to check... if I have a reservation/booking... do I need to block these out on the calendar so there isn't a double booking or does it do it automatically?
Thanks
When you have a reservation confirmed, the calendar will be blocked automatically. I see that you have a reservation or at least blocked nights, for October 28 through 31.
if the booking is confirmed through airbnb, it will block those dates... if you get a booking through another site, make sure you manually block the dates here on airbnb so you dont double book 🙂
Welcome to Air BNB hosting, @Morris0. Since you asked such a basic question, I hope you will take time to read the many articles available to you about hosting in the Help Center. Many new hosts make costly mistakes because they haven't taken the time to get to know this business and the Air BNB platform. With that being said, I took time to review your listing and have some comments I hope you will find helpful.
1. Your profile is incomplete in terms of verification. I would not allow a guest to book with such an incomplete verification. It also may be seen as a negative by savvy Air BNB travelers. Shouldn't take long to finish.
2. Your 8PM to 1 AM check in time might be a deterent to many travelers, so if you can find a way to offer an afternoon check in, that would be best. Think of it from the traveler's perspective if you have been travelling all day and you can't get into the room before 8PM. Perhaps you can have a trusted friend meet guests while you are at work.
3. Is the bathroom shared? It would be best to state that more clearly if it is.
Hope you have a wonderful successful business!
