Do guests have to do anything to check-in?

Hey, I am a new host and my guest is saying that their Airbnb app is saying to the to check-in, do they have to do anything to check-in?

Welcome to the Community Center!

Guests don't need to do anything to check-in, Airbnb will assume that they checked in at the check-in time. I presume the app is just reminding them that they can now check-in (i.e. arrive and get the keys from you).

I typically receive a notice around 2:00 - 3:00 pm notifying me that payment has been sent.  It is now about 5:00 pm and I have not received a notice.
