Do you need to have a classified star rating to host in France?

I am thinking about hosting but not sure if I need to register the property for a classified rating or not. The property is in France.

 

Any advice appreciated.

By classified rating in France, are you referring to what's detailed in this article? If so that is not a requirement to host in France, but something some decide to apply for as an added bonus. 🙂
