I've been hosting for 4 years in Todos Santos, Mexico. I thought I saw something pass by me this year about Airbnb beginning to take the hospitality taxes or sometimes they are called lodging taxes directly from guests who book in Mexico. Perhaps this only applies to mainland Mexico but I'm not sure. I'm a registered business and I've been paying taxes in Mexico from the beginning but I don't want to pay the hospitality tax if it's already being paid by the guest. It's a 3% tax here. If anyone has any information about this new policy, if there is one, could you please let me know?
Thanks,
Maxine
