Does our airbnb need to engage a commercial registered waste carrier?

We have been written a letter from Dorset Waste Partnership which basically says that as we are a commercial business we need to engage a registered waste carrier as household waste and recycling from said premises cannot be allowed into the domestic environment - is this true??

Yes of course, if you are running a commercial operation (i.e. your premises is just used for holiday lets), then you need to engage a separate commercial waste carrier @Jude70 .

If you live on the premises of course, you can have your waste collected as household waste.

Hi Helen,

thanks for that . Our airbnb is an annex of our house so we are not sure if that counts as living on the premises or if it's classed as a separate accommodation .

Thanks again,
