We have a one night minimum set but would like to override the weekends to 2 nights, checking in on Friday so we can have Saturday's off of cleaning. What is the easiest way you've done this? I've tried setting minimum nights for Friday to 2, but they can still then book Saturday as a one night. So now I've set Saturday's to 2, which may be the answer, but it seems strange. The other thing I've done is go through and set individual minimum nights on weekends to 2 nights, checking in on Friday's. Is there any easier way than these two? It also stinks that if someone books THursday for 2 nights, then they check out Saturday. There is no way to ensure we don't have to flip rooms on Saturday's it seems.

Hello @Angela-And-Brandon0,
There is a way to prohibit checkout on selected days of the week. It can be done using the rule-sets feature.
You could create a rule prohibiting checkout on Saturdays. You can then set that rule to apply to all dates from the current one up to the latest end date allowed by your calendar.
You first have to enable rule-sets, then create the rule and then apply it to the desired calendar dates.
Once rule-sets are enabled you can then repeat the rule creation and application for each listing.
Creating this rule will work with Firefox but creation of % discount rules requires the use of Chrome or Microsoft's browser. I've no experience with Apple devices so can't comment on Safari's suitability.
To enable rule sets

Go to the link below.

Ignore that it says it's for professional hosts with many listings. I have just one listing, a room in my house and it works for me.
Scroll down to the "Work the way you want" section and click on "Use the tools now" link. On the next page scroll to the "reservations" section and click on "Use the multi-calendar".
Your default calendar view will now be the multi calendar one where the dates are all in one line. You can select the whole month view by clicking on the name of your listing beside its photo on the left.
To create a rule
============
Log out and log in again and go to your calendar. It should show the multicalendar view with a "Create new rule-set" button on the right.
Click this and enter a name, for example "Saturdays free", in the "Rule-set name" box.
Then click on "Customise" for "Check-in and checkout days".
Check the box to disallow checkouts on Saturdays.
Click on "Save".
To apply the rule to dates
====================
On your calendar click on the name of the listing so as you see the whole month view of the calendar.
Click on the first date to which you wish to apply the discount.
In the box that appears on the right click to the right of the arrow in the "Selected dates" box and select the end date of the period to which you wish to apply the discount.
Then click in the "Rule-sets" box and select the Saturdays rule that you created above.
Click on "Save".

Thanks Steve! That was incredibly helpful and I now have our Saturday's set to FREE 🙂
