I'm having the same problem, too. I'm seeing the message on my iPad. So far it hasn't been a problem except that I can't see the booking/payout details, which is a bit frustrating.

Zero solution yet from AirBnB support. Slow as molasses. I’m surprised.

Airbnb App Error message: “ The data cannot be read because it isnt in the correct format.”

This issue needs Airbnb to resolve ASAP. 

The error issue seems to be affecting many Airbnb hosts using the Airbnb App, which prevents hosts viewing payout details for a guest and compromises  the use of the App. In my case,  I’m using an iPhone OS. 

The Airbnb App error has only recently become an issue and suggests an algorithm conflict with the App. Please advise how to resolve.

I tried to log out and to delete the app, nothing helps.

on desktop everything works well.

Could be a cookie issue. Maybe new CSRF mitigation is breaking some flows.

Hi All

After trying a number of options to correct this issue, including deleting and reinstalling the app, I found that after installing a VPN solution, I stopped getting the error messages. 

I had to purchase a VPN solution for my daughter who was traveling to China for 2 mths. I also installed on my phone to test, and realized immediately after installing that I stopped getting the messages in the Airbnb app. It may be coincidental, but if you want to try it, I am using ExpressVPN (https://tinyurl.com/y2hpc4pg )

Please note that there is a costs for this app, so if you are still having the problem, I am just providing an option you may want to consider.

The VPN solutions are used to hide your true location so you can access services they may not normally be available in your area (which is the case in China) so I am now assuming this issue may have been because I’m in Jamaica (outside of the US) 🤷🏾‍♂️
