Exchange after reviews posted (both favourable) querying if I hadn't liked the place

This is an odd one. Stayed at a perfectly nice place for my purposes - mainly somewhere to sleep while working. There were lots of meals out with colleagues and was rarely back at the apartment earlier than 1am. The owner had left nibbles but as I rarely have breakfast I didn't really have time to enjoy them.

I left feedback about its proximity to the event, ease of getting there, but in truth had had issues with power points and the internet access - all of which were resolved. The place was basic and a little dated but comfortable and above all it served MY needs.

In retrospect perhaps I should have said something like "the bed was comfortable" but I was surprised to be approached directly via text and somewhat admonished for not having heaped praise on the place AFTER we had both left our reviews - their review was perfectly nice and complementary.

So not sure what to do with being told off for leaving a review that was more about the region (which was what had been important for me!)...

Anyone else ever had this? BTW - I am a host too. I have had feedback along the same lines of "great for what I needed" and have never thought anything more of it.

I wouldn't dwell on it. I had a guest who told me in the private feedback that they had "difficulty" checking in, because they didn't write down (or look up) the lock code I sent them the day before - even though when they messaged me to ask for the code, I answered them immediately.

I mean - I got sent a link for another property... and up until that message I would have probably stayed there again.
