FL Taxes (Palm beach county)

Hi everyone,

I am a new host in Palm Beach County, and wanted to see if anyone could clarify some things about taxes.

I currently have an account with the FL Department of Revenue for Sales and Use tax. Do I need this? I’m confused as to which tax that Airbnb collects and remits on my behalf.
I have a TDT and BTR, and from what I understand, I need to handle the TDT myself because I am in Palm beach county. Please correct me if I’m wrong!
I want to make sure I have a grasp on this!

Hey @Stephanie2182 ! Have you found any info on FL taxes yet?

You could try asking your question in one of the local Host Clubs as well, perhaps Hosts there will have an answer for you. You can find them here: https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Get-Local/ct-p/en_clubs

I hope that helps! 😃

Hi there! The correct answer is: "it depends" - I know, I know.......it depends on how much you earn, whether or not your self employed etc . Here is a great article to help you flesh out your details!
