Fake Listing

Hi

A friend of mine booked the following residence: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/17644734

After checking it out, it seems like a fake listing. This is why I think it's fake:

1. They stole the pictures of the rooms from this hotel: http://www.hotelcasinointernational.com/page/hotel

2. The "host" stole the logo of the hotel and uses it as their profile picture (though, it is in slightly different colors)

3. The GPS coordinates my friend got after booking, actually show a hotel which is behind the hotel casino international. It is called Hotel Mimosa and has a lot of negative reviews e.g. on tripadvisor as it is a "party hotel". This is hotel mimosa: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.2839593,28.0408226,113m/data=!3m1!1e3

And this is hotel casino international: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.2838162,28.0427761,167m/data=!3m1!1e3

They are maybe 100-200 meters away from each other.

What can my friend do to cancel the trip and get his money back? The cancellation policy is strict, so he'd only get 50% back.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Simon

Your friend should contact airbnb urgently - via twitter, phone, email.

Hi Roberta Thanks for your reply. He‘ll do that immediately. In the meantime I called the Hotel Casino International and they assured me that they don‘t rent out rooms on airbnb, so it‘s clear that it‘s fake.

You can also click on "report this listing"

If you believe this is fake, so Airbnb will remove it.

I've already done that on the listing and on the profile. But thanks for mentioning it, I really appreciate it.
