Fake listing of my house!

The city contacted us about our "rental" property not being legal and that they would fine us if we didn't comply with the rules. Interesting part is, we're not hosting our house on airbnb! Here is the fake listing, complete with 1 fake review:

I've asked airbnb to take it down, nothing is happening yet. I assume these dirtbags are using this for a bait & switch. I see they have another listing which I also highly doubt that they own.

How do I light a fire under airbnb to get them to take this listing down and also these scammers profile?

@Dean714  You can try using the contact form at https://www.airbnb.com/neighbors and select "other" as the topic of concern. I doubt it will be a priority, though, since the listing has been inactive for 2 years and has no availability showing on the calendar. It happens all the time that tenants list Airbnb homes without the owner's permission, and Airbnb does nothing about requests to take the listing down. So I'd be surprised if you got any different results.

If the fake listing has exposed you to the risk of prosecution or fines, you might have to get a lawyer involved. But the nature of the scam is a bit hard to pin down -  where, for example, might these hosts have gotten pictures of the inside of your home?

@Anonymous They took the photos off of the realtors website when it was up for sale a few years back, it looks very different inside and out now. I'll keep pestering airbnb but you might be right, it might be time for a lawyer. Stupid scammers anyway! 😞 Thanks for the reply!
