False advertising about the neighborhood

I am an AirB&B host in New Orleans and continue to be amazed at the false advertising used by other hosts about the locations of their rental.  Catch phrases “close to the French Quarter”, “walking distance to the St. Charles Streetcar”, “10 minutes from the music clubs”.  Many of these properties are in dangerous neighborhoods where no one should be walking outside at night.  Many are in areas with drug dealing and gang activity in the streets in broad daylight.   Sadly, guests don’t know this until they arrive unless they really read the reviews.   In a city as checker-boarded as New Orleans (and many other cities), how do I advertise my neighborhood, which is truly safe, where you can walk safely at night, while still in the middle of the city and walking distance to the St. Charles streetcar lines?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey Beth, last weekend in fact we tried to use an Airbnb for a place to stay but when I saw the street names and locations available I knew they were in not so desirable areas. If I were you I would just promote exactly what you said regarding your proximity and your safe neighborhood. Maybe even add a street map to your photos highlighting your location in relation to the French quarter.  That’s what I would look for next time we stay in New Orleans.  My 2 cents

That is what the reviews are for. Many guests will refer to the first hand reviews to get a better feel for the location from those who have stayed in the area. So I would describe your place what you feel fit. It will all come out in the reviews in the end. It keeps things transparent.
