I’m from a very large family and sister, who has a very large family, asked if I would open my home to accommodate large families. They travel a lot and have difficulties finding an AirBNB that will host them. Is there a way to add a filter for people searching for large families? Kind of like pet friendly filter. Thanks
I am wondering why the number of guests filter does not work for finding properties that will accommodate large families, @Brad240 .Can you elaborate?
@Brad240 I don't know who and why wouldn't host them. They can just enter the correct number of guests before searching (that would be the filter) and they will find homes that can accommodate as many people as they select.
Hi @Brad240
Why can't you and your sister use the advance search and add number of bedrooms + number of people + accepts children?
There is already a 'family friendly' filter if you want to use it.
As a host is this not something you can advise your sister about?
Hi and thanks for your relpy. I don't see where to find the filter for children. I do see where you suggested added the number of "people". That wouldn't work. Large families when traveling are used to "slumber party" style sleeping. I'm talking about families with like 10 kids. I could never put on my listing that we would accept 10 "people". Kids are different and if there is a filter for only showing amount of kids please let know. I'll look at the family friendly option again but of I remeber correctly, it was for baby monitors and such. My question is a bit different. Thanks!
You'll know as an experienced host that is not how Airbnb works @Brad240 you can't stuff in addtional children at no extra cost.
If you have a large party that includes children - just filter either for family friendly collections or hosts that accept children, then simply add in the number of guests you want to have stay. Then options will come up for your stay for that number with hosts that accept children.
You are making this far more complicated then it needs to be.
Imo, 4 adults + 10 children would be the same as 14 guests. Children are also guests that use amenities and water and towels and need bedding, same as adults. The only way I see that "kids are different" is that the home would have to be child-proofed really well, have very durable furniture and easy to wash bedding.
they can search "family collection", those are all listings where kids are allowed. However, I don't think they will find a listing with more then 1 or max 2 baby monitors / high chairs / cots / etc.... they will have to bring some of their own stuff.
