Fire safety

Looking updates on what is required in a 3 bed bungalow regarding fire safety?

Is a risk assessment required?

Do we need fire extinguishers?emergency lighting? Visible evacuation plan?

@Erinna3   You will need to look up the requirements for Northern Ireland with regards to this as they may be different to England, Wales and Scotland.   Any requirements Airbnb have will be the minimum and you should always follow Government guidance.  Legislation/recommendations will also depend upon the type of property.  For instance, fire doors may be required in a hotel, but not in a small holiday let.  Obviously, smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors (when applicable) should be used in all places and there is a place to note that these are in place in your listing details.  We supply fire extinguishers, some led torches and a fire blanket in our cottage.. We buy the torches in bulk (about £1 each), you can often get them at this price in petrol stations as well and it is no great drama if they grow feet and ‘walk’
