First Time reservation-how to check new host

First Time reservation-how to check new host

Hi I am for the first time using AirBnb and found nice appartment in Barcelona:

https://www.airbnb.pl/rooms/25349553

I see that this is new host and we are travelling with group of 9 people.

How can we make sure that host is "legit" ?

I heard that airbnb verification is not that good.

@Rafał2 That is not the real AirBnB website. I would say it's a scam and should be avoided. The real website is: airbnb.com

@Letti0, the adress is correct, every country has they "dot" (for me is www.airbnb.es as it's spain). "pl" is the abreviation of Poland in websites.

Also @Rafał2, it's seems that the appartment isn't online anymore.

It's better if you always make a reservation with a host that has good reviews... If you go with a new and inexperiencied host it can end well but sometimes it can be awful. If you find another place with a new host try to talk to him/her via Airbnb and know more about him/her.

Good luck!

@Letti0, it is as @Esther124 says.

Many countries have their own custom version of the Airbnb site, and those sites are legitimate versions of Airbnb.

https://www.airbnb.pl is just the custom version for Poland.

(As evidenced by all the text being in Polish.)

You should even be able to find your own listing in there.

@Rafał2

Barcelona hosts need to be registered to be legit - the listing should have a registration/licence number.
