Fraudulent booking

I had a booking request that looked reasonable, so despite a lack of full ID and reviews I decided to accept.. I then got an email from air bnb saying that the booking looked suspicious so it had been cancelled and the booker refunded. The same booker has attempted to re book but without any kind of message. Assuming it's still a dodgy claim, do i just decline the booking, possibly damaging my rating, or can I get air bnb to cancel it?

Your rating will be fine so long as your decline within the 24 hour period.  Declines are perfectly acceptable as long as you're not CONSTANTLY declining.
