Every time I've tried booking at Air B&B I've been unsuccessful in doing so; and had to resort to other means. This is my fourth or fifth attempt. This time alone involvced four or five hours. There's no customer service number at all. I've received no response from my attempt to contact them after attempting to do even the simplest thing, like post my passport of drivers license to complete the booking. Why that's even required seems a smokescreen to me, since I've booked hotels, B& B's and every other means of staying somewhere all around the world, without the need of posting either of those on line.
Air B&B seems completely insensitive to the very people you want to deal with. This is my final attempt. I'll go elsewhere from now on. Hopefully another company will come along that actually reinvests some portion of what they're skimming.
