Generic account booked and wants to swap

I only let guests with government ID book, but a generic account for a conference of engineers (no persons name, just the conference name) made a reservation.  The conference seems to check out, but then they messaged me that there will be a new guest, gave me that persons name and email, and said they would be staying stead of the account.  Kind of sounds like the conference made a group booking and then wants to let people stay there...seems shady, and a liability for me.  How can they book with a generic ID and still have a valid government ID?

The conference need to setup a business account with Airbnb, then they can make 3th party bookings.

Hi @Josh334

As a superhost I'm sure you already know this, but be wary of accepting third party bookings as it's against Airbnb's T&Cs and you won't be covered if something goes wrong.

I agree with @Emiel1  tell the original party if they want to book on behalf of their staff, they need to set up a business partner account.

You would then need to work with Airbnb and the guest to transfer the booking.
