Hya, I had a guest that was lovely (quiet, clean,) everything went well the first time but then she broke a massively important rule (brought someone without our permission very late at night, had loud sex, woke up everyone, etc).
She has 61 reviews, even stayed with us before a few weeks ago, so she is quite experienced with Airbnb. But we had to kindly remind her that visitors are not allowed due to the obvious reasons, which she replied showing regretful acknowledgement.
To be honest, we are very tolerant to guests but in this case, we had already decided with Airbnb to rehome her the next day. She totally broke our trust and the funny thing is that the same day, we were exchanging Airbnb experiences and we mentioned we had a guest that brought someone to our home without permissions. A few hours later, she does the same, even though our rules are clear and explicit.
Anyway, sorry for the long post, but she left 2 reviews just now (she had a booking and made another extending her stay). Like I said she stayed with us recently, and there is a positive review from her on our listing. My question is: should I leave her a review? An honest one, I mean. Would it make a difference if I warn future hosts in a sea of great reviews? I am not sure if she will seek "revenge" on these 2 or be genuine. Its been a week and half that this happened, so its actually weird being a guest that broke a rule and leaving a review after a while. It made us both a bit anxious. Thanks your for the advice! 🙂
Erica.
