After cleaning prepping and setting up the house to receive 4 adults 2 children and one infant. I sent my guest a message telling her that one of our 5 bedrooms was out of commission as part of a wall needed painting.This due to a leak from next doors house. We fixed that problem as the women lives many miles away. But it caused paint damage to part of our wall and the professional painters could not complete until after Easter .
I had set up 2 other double bedrooms for the adults, two bedrooms for the children and a crib for baby. So the house could still accommodate everyone comfortably.
The guest then rang me and said it was not goo enough and wanted to cancel. I told her the room was usable if she chose to use it but not up to our usual high standard. I said if she cancelled this late she would need to pay. And to cancel through Airb&b. I then sent her photos of the paint damage and the room set up for guests, showing it could still be used.
