I have a guest coming tomorrow but she is only staying 2 nights instead of 7. she does not want a refund and is happy for us to re list our space but how do I do that without losing money as the probability is that we will not get a booking for this week?
If she does not want a refund, then she leaves on day 3 and the reservation continues with an empty (but paid room). Otherwise you have to shorten the reservation (change option), but then guest is maybe refunded (depends on cancellation policy).
Best regards,
Emiel
If the probability is low for another booking, why bother playing around with the system? Why not just have some 'you time' instead, @Linda1713?
@Linda1713 You can ask the guest to cancel on day 3 early morning. Or call Airbnb support to cancel it on behalf of guest. But Airbnb definitely will contact the guest to confirm.
@Linda1713 If the guest doesn't want a refund, why go through all the trouble of either cancelling or changing the reservation, seeing if anyone does rebook it, and then, if no one does, you're out the $$ that the guest didn't care about in the first place?
