I have a guest that longer wants the reservation in January. She wants me to cancel it so she won't get charged. I've amended my cancellation policy. But she still wants me to cancel. If I cancel I get charged and will loose my super host status. Help anyone!
Never cancel for your guests! It's an Airbnb rule. You will not only be charged but also get fined, and your calendar will be blocked.
She cannot force you to cancel as she agreed to your conditions including your cancellation policy at the time of booking. The cancellation policy at the time of booking is the valid one.
As an action of goodwill you can offer your guest to exceed the cancellation refund if you are able to relet and explain what happens if you cancel as a host.
Tell you guest they need to cancel. They will still be charged an AirBnB fee. If you were due to receive any monies under you cancellation policy you can refund them, if you wish.
Do not under any circumstances cancel the booking.
Thank you for the suggestion. I will offer to refund her.
She is canceling the reservation...not you. I would not cancel it for her.
