Now I sit here in the middle of the night.Stunned!dare not to go out of my own room or dare not to sleep back in.My guest has tried to open my bedroom and hanging out there in front of my room.he get drunk I guess after celebration the new year. What should I do now? im so scared.I have hosted for 2 yrs and this is the first time I felt unsafe in my own home!
Hana: Get some help. Who can come over? Let us know that you are ok. Praying for your safety!
Call the police immediately, if he is breaking your home or trying to get to you. If you feel that he will do you bodily harm, leave the home immediately and go to the police station. I had this happened to me once, I rented a room in the USA, in California, and the man was viciously drunk.
I grabbed my wallet and purse with my phone and documents, hid my jewels in the attic of my bedroom and jumped two flights of window, landing on his car. I dented his car. I got into my car, he heard me driving off and hit my window shield with a broom and I pushed the gas, he fell off to the ground and I did not stop. When I arrived with the police, he was gone has totally vacated my home and he defecated in my living room.
You need to call the police and leave the premise. Anna
Do not be scared, you are in control. Think of how you will leave the house, be calm and think, ignore his loud ranting and raving, you are in control he is not, he is drunk. Is there an exit in which you can leave without him seeing you? If there isn't one, grab hold of a heavy object to protect yourself in case he enters the room. PUSH a furniture against the door and sit tight, he will tire out and fall asleep, when he does you call the police to have him removed. I am not sure how the police handles things like that where you are, but if you cannot leave your room because the only exit is your bedroom door, or a high window, push all the furniture against your bedroom door and sit tight, meantime call the police.
Viciously drunk men will want to have sex by force with women, or rough them up, or worse. So push all the furniture of the bedroom against the door, he won't be able to get to you. IF YOU HAVE NEIGHBORS start to cal for help. Be calm, do not panic, if you are calm you are able to think. Anna
The next morning he did not mention anything.Honestly I felt sick when I saw him.I asked him if he was drunk. He said yes and I asked that why you tried to open my bedroom constanly. He said he did not remember anything about that.He said Sorry. But luckily he also moved out that morning!Im so released. But my mum was really pissed off!
God blessed you Hana! Please give this loser a negative review. And put double locks on your bedroom door.
Glad you are safe. Do you have a lock for your bedroom door? If not, do it before your next guest.
Hi @Hana18,
I'm sorry to hear about your experience with this guest, I can imagine it must have been very worrying. I'm glad to hear you are ok and that the guest has now left. I hope you're not too shaken.
Did you call Airbnb about this issue?
I have moved your post here to a new thread, as it was getting lost in another discussion on a different topic. It is easier for other users to find it here and offer advice. I have also given it a title, please let me know if you want to change it!
