Hi there! This is my first post and I'm hoping ya'll can help me!
I just got a message from a potential guest that says he is in the area staying with family, needs to book an place today but wants to check out the house beforehand .... ?
Our next available dates are next week and we have a guest there this weekend, so I am a bit iffy.
In addition, I'm not sure how I feel meeting a stranger and giving him a tour of a house when we have more than enough photos in the listing. (Not to mention I work full time and not sure when I am able..)
I'm just a co-host, this is my friends house and they live out of state and ultimately the decision is theirs (I don't foresee them going for it, either) but I want to get some feedback from the community since we're new at this.
Thank you in advance for any insight! 🙂
Danielle
@Danielle649 . The advice you will get here is to never show the house to a potential guest. Never give out the exact address before a booking. Especially if you don't live there full time. The potential risks for safety and security are just too high!
Happy hosting...
Thanks, Beth - that's what I figured! Seems a little weird, especially when our home has ample photos. Thanks so much for your time!
