Guest wants to cancel booking on check-in date and asking to refund full amount without valid reason

Myself KK, I'm having superhost position continuously more than a year.

 

Today I had bad experience, I would like to ask advice from airbnb community.

 

Booking is for 1 day. Guest wants to cancel booking on check-in date and asking to refund full amount without any valid reason. And guest is threatening to give bad review if I don't do full refund.

 

As per the cancellation policy there is no refund. and guest is not cancelled booking.

I would open a case with the Airbnb resolution centre that way you can send them screenshots of them threatening to give you a bad review.

I agree with @Alex1819 write back to the guest on the platform and confirm that if they need to cancel they need to do it through Airbnb and any cancellation will be processed in line with the cancellation policy they booked under.

 

Also confirm that it is against Airbnb's extortion policy to threaten a bad review if they don't get a refund.

 

Contact Airbnb, they will be able to see the guests message threatening a bad review if you don't refund.
