Guests clogged toilet with TP and flooded my basement HELP!

I rented my house out to a woman who claimed she needed room for 6 of her and her company which after confirming found it was her husband company not hers. I met her husband who was supposed to be the one staying with the employees. He came into town prior to checking in and “pre inspected” the house. After a week with the guests being there I dropped by to assist the guests and the house was TRASHED. See photos. During this time after contacting the Guest’s husband I found that he was actually not staying in the house at all and that his “workers” were staying there...I gave them a warning and  days later i get a text from him stating “we have a problem. A guy went to the house this morning and your basement is full of water.” The toilet had been running. After several hours of restoration work , a plumber said it was a “soft plug” and that it declogged itself in the time waiting for a plumber. The guests were kicked out due to sewage. I followed all airbnb rules but am not asked for “proof” that it was the guests fault the toilet flooded. And asking for receipts for everything damaged! I was quoted 15,000 in damage and restoration work. I had to cancel 4 other guests because the damage will take a couple months. I have no clue what to do and am worried I am going to have not be able to pay the mortgage as i have no income and need to repair basement

@Sandy186

You need to contact your Insurance Company first thing in the morning.

Contact AirBnB, explain the situation and make sure they cancel your bookings as an Extenuating Circumstance.

There is the Host Guarantee but that is a real pain and anyway would only cover some of your losses.
