HELP!!! CO-HOST ISSUE->CHAT, PAYOUTS,REVIEWS

Hi,

I want to describe my situation.

I am superhost until I started hosting. So I know how airbnb works.

I created my offers (3,2,1 year ago) so I am administrator and I should have all access to my all bookings.

My co-host created her account few months ago.

From 14th of December I don't have priviligies to chat with guests who booked after 14th of December (it is very important)

Reservations made after December 14th are assigned to my co-host account

-All payouts are going to my co-host!

-My co-host didnt have before "history of transactions"  because she didnt create offers -> now She has!

-She has access to chat (bookings made after 14th of dec) -> I DON'T

-She has access to give reviews  (bookings made after 14th of dec)-> I DON'T

-my payouts appeared in her "future transacions" (I changed her bank account informations on my (temporarily), so money go on correct bank account but by my co-host airbnb account)

-She receives all emails (on her email and airbnb account) about new bookings or about that She has to write a review (bookings after 14th of dec)

So something changed after 14th of December

My last normal reservation was on 13th of December.

15th of December was first time when everything changed (first wrong booking)

I have already 3 finished payouts and 5 are in future transactions with THIS ISSUE.

I have NORMAL access JUST to bookings made before December 14th. I can speak with guests and payouts are VISIBLE in my future transactions.

FEW DAYS ago AIRBNB eployee told me that SOME GLITCH APPEARED and They are trying to fix it! He also told me that now is Christmas time and everything is going slow.

TODAY AIRBNB eployee told me that there is no GLITCH

and my CO-HOST created my listing but it is not a truth! How She created my listing when I am ADMINISTRATOR?!?!?

He told me there is no technicall problem from airbnb. But I didnt change in my settings nothing also CO-HOST didnt change!!!

I created account for my CO-HOST to don't use the same account when we are speaking with guests.

In my opinion my CO-HOST got my privilieges. But how???

Does someone has got same problem like me?

Sorry for my English.

Hi

I feel just a tiny bit of your pain - sounds like your calendar ‘glitched’ badly.

Yesterday I just happened to notice a pending request blocking my calendar for a weekend at the end of January.  I couldn’t find any of the usual notifications or requests in my inbox or text message from Airbnb for the reservation - nothing.  When I click on it on my calendar (my cohost accepted it for me) i get no info at all about the reservation and I cannot message the guest at all.  My cohost told me she’d seen the notification come through to her airbnb message account the night before and presumed that as usual, I would see it and deal with it.  It seems she can deal with it and I can’t.  I’ve checked upcoming payments and there are none going to me for this booking - it’s just not on the list and later bookings are so I assume my cohost will get the payment and not me unless Airbnb sort this out!

I spoke to Airbnb yesterday and was informed that there was a glitch and the reservation had gone through my co-host’s account.  I was told that the technical team are on it and that there have been other reports of this happening.

Using my PC and not my app, I checked through my setttings for the cohost and all my listings had made me down as cohost and my cohost as the main host.  I immediately changed this and today I received a booking directly so for me the glitch appears to have been resolved by checking and changing the cohost settings using my computer.  I’m hoping so because having this happen again is painful.

i’m going to get on to Airbnb tomorrow to find out what they’re doing to ensure that I get the payment for this booking and not my cohost.  Failing this, i’m going to see if through my cohost, the guest will agree to cancelling the booking and rebooking it with the hope it rebooks correctly.

Happy New Year!

Yes, I have the same problem. I'm a co-host and primary host of 12 other homes, and suddenly they all started paying out into my bank account when they never did before. Airbnb went back in and re did some of the reservations which then ended up paying the right host, and it seems to  fix once I make all the owners primary, and me just as a secondary co-host. Of course that causes all sorts of other problems that the renters now don't know who they're renting from/talking to. I still have some reservations the future paying out to the wrong bank account, but the case manager has disappeared and is not written me back in 4 days to fix the issue. there still is a problem now when I need something taken care of in the resolution center, I have to do it through my co-hosting account. We're before I had a login to the primary account holders account to request a resolution. So now I'm not sure once a resolution request goes through it may pay to my bank account instead of the owner's bank accounts. This is a giant mess and I can't believe Airbnb is not letting anybody know about it. But I have seen it mentioned on other forums, and Airbnb just seems to be ignoring the problem. They refuse to take payments back and pay out the correct owners, so now I had over $20,000 in bookings in my bank account that don't belong there. I can't think of a bigger issue than money going into the wrong bank accounts. If I wasn't paying attention I would have never have noticed and neither would have the owners.

"This is a giant mess and I can't believe Airbnb is not letting anybody know about it...I can't think of a bigger issue than money going into the wrong bank accounts."

Finally! Someone who is as outraged as me that Airbnb is absolutely quiet on this HUGE issue. I feel like I've been shouting from the rooftops for weeks and they are doing/saying nothing in response.

I also truly cannot believe they are putting the onus on hosts to explain this to guests. Actually, I can't even explain it to my guests because I don't see their reservations at all and have no way to interact with them.

For the past two weeks, I have had a few phantom reservations for which I am the Listing Admin (I listed the property and manage it full time) but am listed as the secondary host. I handle 100% of the communications for an older couple who have no idea how Airbnb works, but just wanted their photo to show up on the listing. Now, they are the only ones seeing these reservations and getting random messages and payouts from guests. I have had guests calling them because I never sent check-in instructions -- because the reservation does not even show up on my account!

This is an unbelievable bug and undermines the entire platform. Not only have they not fixed it, they are not warning other hosts or more importantly, unsuspecting guests.

C'mon Airbnb. Say something, then fix this ASAP. You are killing our businesses.

Hey Guys, I have been calling airbnb coustomer support just about everday since December 20th. I have 25 listings on Airbnb right now and I haven't recieved a pay out since December 17th. They are currently holding almost $30,000 worth of my pay-outs from me. On top of that I am have a lot of the same errors with the co-host stuff too. This is a hug problem and according to my current airbnb case manager they have no idea why its not working. Aparently their is some technical error that is effecting all of our sites. The only relevent infomation they have given me at this point is serveral apologies. How can Airbnb get away with this?
