Have a pending booking in my calendar but no contact from the guest?

I have just checked my calendar on my room booking and notice there is a 4 day pending booking from a guest but i have received no messages or requests for the room? I have contacted her now but I am afraid it will just appear as booked when other guests try to make a booking?
