I'm new to Airnb and planning on letting the whole house while I'm away. Can anyone recommend my course of action. I had asked my house insurance brokers but they thought I was still going to be staying in the house with the guests. This won't be happening so please advise.
Many thanks
Lyn xx
@Lyn30 Try Admiral - I know they offer host insurance for AirBnB, but not sure if that means for hosts both on and off the premises. They seem to be one of the few companies in the UK that has embraced AirBnB.
Thank you, I'll give them a ring xx
Seems a question for those same insurance brokers. They should be trying to find you a solution and coverage given your situation.
Insurance is a tricky one and one I would speak to a professional about to make sure you get it right. I would go back to your brokers and get them to work it out for you. If you don't get it right and something happens, your policy could be void and you don't want that.
Whilst AirBnB offer insurance that doens't necessarily mean that it will cover everything. My house insurance has tripled now that I'm doing AirBnB.
Having a massive increase in premium is what frightens me, however, not being covered frightens me even more! Thank you for your help.
