Hi, I am new to hosting and just about ready to go.
can someone offer me tips please,
like - should I meet clients first,
what to include in welcome pack,
should I money paid via PayPal,
should I include tea/coffee
etc
Hello @Mabina0
Welcome to the Airbnb community. Most of the basics around hosting and how Airbnb works are covered either here https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Tips-Tutorials/bd-p/tips-tutorials or in the Airbnb Help Centre. They are great resources, so do familiarise yourself with them. The search function here is also a great resource. 9 times out of 10 someone will already have asked a question you want answered 🙂
One of the first things we learn as hosts, is that everyone's listing is different and how we host, depends very much on our listing. There is no 'one size fits all' answers to your questions. So:
1. Up to you whether you meet your guests in person. Obviously easier if you live in. Many hosts use self-check.
2. Include everything you would want to know as a guest about your home, local area and recommendations for places to visit/eat etc
3. Airbnb lists the payment channels you can use. Use the one that works best for you.
4. Many hosts provide basics such as tea/coffee, salt/pepper/oil. Really depends on your price point and what sort of guest you are targetting.
Best of luck with your new venture.
