Hi, I'm Sharon and I'm new to airbnb

Last night my guests left at 8.15pm instead of staying for their second night because they had an early appointment in Melbourne they couldn't cancel and the weather here was wild and getting worse, they didn't want to do the early drive on the great Ocean Rd(which can be dangerous), do I offer a refund or part refund. I've seen the option to do this on her reservation(and it seems to be very hard to contact airbnb to see if there's any recourse). Thank you, Sharon

I don't think you have any control over the weather, but it was certainly rough overnight! If you feel so kind that you wish to refund, you can do so in the resolution centre but I don't think you have to as it was the choice of your guests to leave. It wasn't a natural disaster or anything.

I would not do anything, unless you really want to.

Hi! My two cents. I would not give them any refund as you specifically reserved those days for them not allowing any other potential guest to rent your property. It's business.

In addition to all other comments I'd also add that anybody leaving that late in the evening in my opinion has already eaten into that night's booking. I mean, you couldn't even rent it to anybody else if you wanted to.

There's no reason to refund. No hotel would.
