Hi , i am new to hosting .........I have had a problem guest who I caught stealing

The woman is unstable and has been sending me strange and threatening messages, over 30 0f them in the last 12 hours.... She was sneaking off my property this morning thankfully i lock the gate and was able to get my money and things back....She has left the area I think but is threatening and accusing me of many crazy untrue things ......I have flagged her and her messages...What can I do am worried she will leave a terrible review.........How can I block her messages?

File a police report immediately. AirBnb will likely only be helpful if you've gone through the steps to elevate this. The police probably can't/won't do anything but it will help your case and will hopefully keep that awful guest from being hosted again.

We had damage and drugs in our home after a rental and are having a heck of a time trying to get them to take care of us and stop the guest from being able to take advantage of other people. I really regret not filing the police report.

She is saying she is now going to file a police report accusing me of stealing , this is just awful ........ 😞

I have written to some of the other guest houses around here, she is caught on camera stealing books from another persons place.....The police here in guatemala are not the best at small stuff like this ......Am worried about what she will write, the messages are crazy and what airbnb do about these crazy guests 😞 thank you for your advice .......

I know it is stressfull and frustrating! I would say that typically you see 1 crazy person every 3-4 months in my experience. Of course this number may vary depending on your location. However in the the end I believe that guests can usually see through a bad review. The last person I had here came to see a dentist for major work. Regardless of what I did or how I tried to help he was just miserable and as a result my review suffered. It happens, just look forward and provide a good experience for the next guest.

I'm so sorry you have had to deal with such an ugly and crazy situation. What I have found is 95%of my guests are lovely and I so enjoy having them. But there are always a few shady characters. I believe prospective guests will see her "negative" review for what it's is, an unstable malcontent intent on throwing shade. With plenty of other positive reviews she will just be telling on herself if she writes lies and negative things. I have dozens of great reviews. The two trouble makers and grifters I have had wrote bad reviews. They stick it like a sore thumb. It's obvious it's their problem. Most discerning consumers will recognize this.

Hi @Katy-And-Javier0, call Airbnb immediately and report the entire incident. They'll help you out, will also probably block that lady.
