Hi, I have booked the unit nearly for one month. During the stay period, one of the water filter screws was automatically fell down when using. But the host says I broke the water filter and asks to pay for the filter repair fees. Can this constitute a Guest fault?
@Jayss0 when something is damaged or broke u need to inform ur host immediately, with pics and full description. If you wait till you checkout without notifying her she will ask you for repair fees. But if u. are upfront there is 99.99% chance she would have taken care of the issue without any repair fees incurred to you.
Hi Marie82
Thanks for your info.
Hi @Jayss0
Could you provide a bit more information so that people here in the community can better understand and advice you?
Maybe I"m stupid, but i'm not sure what a water filter screw is and how it can automatically fall down.
I'm also not sure if you told your host about it or not.
Either way, waiting for a whole week before contacting you does seem rather odd. How much is the host asking for? Do you know if more guests have checked in since you checked out?
All this information would be helpful
Regards
Hi Rowena
Thanks for your reply. The water filter just an extra filter on the water tap (as below picture). It's leaking after the screw drop. Not much cost for me. But just curious who should be responsible for it, guest or host. So in future, I handle it better if the case happens again.
