Host cancelled my reservation, transferring credit to another booking?

My original host cancelled my booking, AirBnb issued a credit and I opted to use it towards another booking, however I still ended up paying full price at checkout? 

Should I wait or request a refund?

Wait to see what has actually been charged to your credit card. If it is the full amount with no credit applied then contact AirBnB
