Hey, I guess this question come up a lot. But honestly the Airbnb FAQ isn't very clear. A host cancelled his room, because he was intending to do some home repairs, and he didn't block the reservation panel properly. I already paid for the room in full, with IDEAL which is a Dutch bank transfer system. I went to the FAQ and it says, that my money would be refunded on my Airbnb account, with which I then can book another room. I can't find any screen or window on my account, where it is indicated that I have money standing on the account. So instead I went to look up on how I could get a full restitution. The FAQ says that I have go to my travels screen, pick out the reservation that was cancelled, and click on the button restitution. I click on it and it asks me ''send or ask money'' I click on both buttons, both say that they can't ''send''or''ask'' money. I did receive a an sms and an email that my money would refunded. But I also got a mail that says I've got the money on my account and that I can spend it on another rental. I do not rent any Airbnbnb, so I don't have the account of a host. How the hell does this system work?
