Host needs to cancel

For the first time ever,  I find I need to cancel 2 reservations,  for a room in my home on June 4-5 and June 6-9.  Since I can notify them over a month in advance, will I be penalized?

Yes you will unless it is for "extenuating circumstances".  If it is, you would need to contact Airbnb.

Thanks for your response.  I am working to resolve this issue so I do not have to cancel and can keep my commitments.   Cancelling is just a last resort....I have never done that and I do not want to start now.  

I am optimistic I can find a solution on this end!
